Thanks for the good wishes!
As for the 'fun' of making it on segments, the honestly nice thing about that is that I think I've got one of the nicest routes for doing that (ABQ to AUS). It's a total of about 2 hours in the air each way with just a little over an hour between flights in DFW.
Made it as well last wednesday. I was tried of being a PLT while I kept seeing all these EXPs take my paid upgrades. I figured 101 flights (with 8 more left) and over 80K miles should qualify me for the EXP bouns as well.
My wife made EXP about 3 weeks ago. Just got the (obviously personalized since it had her name on it) email from Kurt Stache. Now I'm married to a real Executive Platinum Blonde

Are you referring to the 25th Anniversary promo? If so, you will not get the bonus as EXP needs 125K miles to quality. Don't feel bad - I'm in the same boat but EXP will soften the blow.
Made it for the 1st time ever on the 10th after two LHR MRs two weekends in a row. Picked up 12,000 Customer Service Bonus miles for some paain on the way this last trip. Enjoyed talking with fellow MRers on the ORD-SNA portion Sunday night and probably made some MRer converts.
I Loving it already, confirmed upgrades for this weekend SNA-ORD (bonus MR) right after it was official (between the 100-hour and 72-hour windows). I did receive my last four earned upgrades three days after making EXP without having to call, so that bug may be fixed.
I'm back to EXP after a four year hiatus at Plat. Feels good to have VIP's again, except last time, they were VIP2's and were not capacity controlled! I suppose the free domestic upgrades kind of makes up for it though!
Tonight was my 100th segment. Looking forward to seeing the EXP status post. I made it on segments, and I think only 2 flights during the year involved a connection (I'm based at ORD, so almost everything is direct). I had to do one MR (sunday, ORD-IND-ORD - had same equipment and only a 40 minute turnaround) to get it done. My cutoff for stickers was pretty good too, my outbound yesterday earned me 4, so I will end PLT a full 9,000 miles from my next set of stickers.
I leave for honeymoon on 12/31, so it will be nice to have the status.
Thanks FT, I find this board full of useful tips (Ok, it is half full of useful tips, and half full of people increasing post count by offering the profound suggestion to "Search" or correcting minor typos)
