I flew TXL to LHR in BA discount coach on 2/5. When the miles post, I'll report back.
Again, it has nothing to do with the posted miles, it's the difference in the Q-miles/Q-points counters from before and after the flights-- see post 16.
If you take note of those today, before the flight posts, we can assess.

I just got back from a weekender to Stockholm (LHR-ARN-LHR) on BA. I bought the ticket off aa.com, as I figured I'd never get any BA ExecClub tier points for it and might as well go for the minimyum q points/miles for AA. It was an 'M' ticket. The section in 'view my miles' gives me 25% (228) of the actual flown miles (911) plus some bonus miles (232...don't know how they figured that one):
02/01/06 BRITISH AIRWAYS 780 M LHR ARN 228 232 460
However under the tracker on the left side of the page I was given 500 q points and 500 q miles. (This was my first flight this year I claimed AA credit for). The return flight on Monday hasn't posted anything yet.
So it seems like the 500 q-point/mile minimum is, unsurprisingly perhaps, intact, at least for regular earning. The only question which remains is the possibility of some difference in counting q-points for challenges since both anomalous reports were from people on a challenge. Very interesting...

I don't know how they got 232, but the difference in calculation of LHR-ARN vs. LON-STO (airport-airport vs city center - city center) is c. 5 miles. But then I'd expect something like 228 to 223.
The 500 EQMs/EQPs minimum for BA flights is what I was seeing on the AA.com counters too -- even for the cheap BA flights last year. Anyone who barely qualified for an elite level and had "cheap" short-haul BA flights credited to BA would have felt the difference if the AA.com displayed counters for EQMs/EQPs were incorrect. So until further information comes along, I'm going with the AA.com displayed counters for EQMs/EQPs. (... and I'm not going for a challenge either.)

With challenges, it seems that the new, higher elite status is reflected on AA.com immediately upon the EQP threshold being crossed (i.e., when a flight segment posts).
When going for a new, higher elite status via the non-challenge/routine method, does the change in status get reflected immediately when the flights get posted or is there some kind of lag after posting?

In my december experience of LCY-FRA-SIN_MEL, the AA website showed that it had counted qpoints of 500 for LCY-FRA, however when I spoke to AA regarding the challenge, they said that it showed a total based on 125 being accrued

Not really relevant to the current thread since AA code shares post like AA flights, not like BA flights.
What if someone you knew had all their YTD q-points come in at 1.5 per mi. (to 3 decimal points) despite 1 "F" and 4 "Q" flights, the Qs upgraded due to status? Not that the person would be complaining, mind, but maybe there's something goofy in the system?
