I stumbled upon this offer last night in my supermarket (Queens, NY). My wife and daughter like fondue and with a long shelf life (9 months) I will probably buy 6-8 boxes for a quick 2000 miles. The offer also mentions cheese wedges.
<insert by mod Dec 3 2006> PLEASE READ THROUGH THIS THREAD before you buy any cheese with expectations of getting miles - Emmi USA has terminated the AA miles offer, with much discussion here.<with OP's assent>

Reason: add pertinent information about early program termination

Correction. 3,000-4,000 miles (500 miles per box).
Also, look for a cardboard display case in the store. This is where I found the specially marked boxes. This stuff does not need to be refrigerated so it might not necessarily be in or near the dairy coolers.
By the way, this is a great product. Use a good quality crusty french or italian bread that is a day or 2 old. That works best. Enjoy your fondue and miles!

I tried looking at the website and couldn't find this (maybe I missed it), but what is the maximum number of miles you can earn by buying this product?
Found a couple of items on Amazon (1 cheese wheel $3.59, 1 Fondue $7.99).
Of course there is no way to know if these are participating packages without ordering. However, I'd assume the prices on Amazon are at least close to what grocery stores would have.
My supermarket is Waldbaum's, which is also owned by the same company as A&P, SuperFresh and The Food Emporium. All located in NY, NJ, CT, DC, DE, MD and PA.
I found both the Fondue and Cheese Wheel on cardboard display cases near the dairy cooler. These are the temporary displays that are just sitting on the floor. The Fondue is priced at $5.99 and the Cheese Wheel is only $2.99. The Cheese Wheel is actually very good cheese, an assortment of different flavors on the same wheel.
I have so far entered 6 codes. I will keep you posted if and when the miles post. As was mentioned, the details at the emmiusa website are limited. If there is no limit on the number of codes you can enter this could be a great way to top off your account. 10,000 AAdvantage miles for $60.00 plus cheese sounds like a pretty good deal to me.
