Thanks for the info. And it works out to 0.85 cpm (also counting the 16 miles for charging to AA Mastercard at 1.25mi/$).
If I try to complete this, the form says I can choose E-ZPlan (automatic renewal) or just a 1 time purchase of 4 weeks. Do I need to use E-ZPlan to get the base 1500 miles? I don't think so, but it's not clear. Also odd that the offer does not state how long miles take to post. Thanks OP!
From the confirmation email I received when I signed up:

You have earned 1,500 AAdvantage Miles and they will be added to your account within 6-8 weeks. Plus, you will earn an additional 100 miles every 4 weeks when your subscription automatically renews on EZ-PAY.
EZ-PAY is NOT required to sign up or get the 1,500 bonus miles.

Ah. Did not consider that because I put so much on the card routinely that the 25th annv will max and an additional purchase would not increase the returns.

My math is $12.95/1,500 = $0.0086 / mile
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks, and apologies for my ignorance.
I got $.0092, but that is because of tax ($1) in Calif.
There is no free press.. Free newspapers are taxed, and the tax is paid by the newspaper.
I hope the offer is available in another month. That way I can sign someone else up.
I guess USATODAY figures they can acquire new customers this way.
I have been boycotting them since they went from 50 cents to 75 cents.
I am doing this for only 1 reason
I signed up for this deal about 6 weeks ago... gifted the subscription to a friend in California. The 4 weeks have come and gone. My credit card was charged. My friend got 4 weeks of newspapers. I have not yet seen my 1500 miles.

Thanks for informing us of this deal. Signed up for it.
Will this deal be in place for a while, or is it limited to a single time per AAdvantage number? After the month, I thought I might sign up for another month as a gift to my parent's address, if I could get credit for the miles to my FF acct again.

Steve,
I'm curious. How did you accrue 200k AA miles in 2006?
