This is hilarious:
What a load if nonsense.
Thirty or I don't know how many armed guards in black jackets and AK-47s surrounding the plane, boarding the plane, coming to tell everyone to put their hands on their head.

Who knows. Maybe they went back in time or were antique collectors. Also, don't SWAT teams in the U.S. use NATO equipment?

Thank goodness we don't overreact to every conceivable "terrorist threat," or anything like that.

Hahaha. Let the media get a hold of this and what was originally a small non-event becomes a national security crisis that should be made into a for-TV movie.
And also off the top of my head, I know of not a single Law Enforcement Agency in the US that uses an AK47 or -74 variant for any issued weapon. Most are a variant of the AR-15 that shoot a .223/5.56mm NATO round (I'm sure that's where you heard the term before).

We here were confusing ammo with equipment. And of course, it's not that the NATO countries and the Soviet Bloc used different equipment and ammo, which would make law enforcement in one of the NATO countries using Soviet Bloc military equipment rather strange. . .

OK, we have established that it's very unlikely that the article got the weapon type correctly. Let's get back to discussing the actual event.

And the passengers herded up were even applauding being treated like sheeple. Applauding for being penned up by armed guards -- potentially raising the risk to the passengers' lives -- seems like the kind of conditioned response that sheeple-lovers would love.
