Trouble with aa.com

I can't get into aa.com to check my mileage. I get the message:

The requested page generated an error:

Some of the data that was expected from the browser was not received. This appears to be a system error. Please resubmit your data and if the problem
continues, please contact the site administrator.

Anyone else having this problem, or any suggestions?

Yup, I too have had my share of problems. The AA site is NOT yet fully compatible with IE, so you nneed to use Netscape as a your browser. Additionally, aa.com is not compatible with older versions of Netscape, you have to use Netrscape 4.X. Once you have Netscape 4.X, it works pretty well, but there are still more bugs e.g. once you login with your AAdvantage no. & password, the miles diplayed are not necessarily your total miles. You have to actually go to your miles page to see the latest.

If you are still having problems, call 800-AACCESS or 800-222-2377 and they will be able to help you. Do not try sending an e-mail --> you will get an automated reply because of the volume problems that they have been experiencing.

Also note that the little security lock in the Netscape browser is not working, but I check the security access and it is working (i.e. password is being encrypted).

Good luck!!!!

I haven't had any access or system problems (other than slow response, which everyone seems to encounter there) using Netscape 3 on a variety of Macintosh and Macintosh clone systems. I did encounter the site problem of the miles they show you when you log in not including all the miles they show you if you check your statement. It happened twice, both times giving me an old total without miles that had been posted to my account within the previous day or two. (Yes, I cleared my browser cache to make sure it wasn't just re-displaying an old version of the page.)

Are you using any anti-cookie software? Mine doesn't seem to cause problems, but perhaps some cookie-rejection methods mess it up. If you are, try turning it off just long enough to see if it makes a difference.

Finally got a personalized reply from AA.com The have put in a temporary fix for the "cookie" problem with IE 3.X. All seems to work fine for now, but you do need to login twice.
