The 2013 retirements include 12 757s, 6 762s and 39 MD-80s.
Deliveries include 8 more 77Ws, 31 738s, 15 A319s and 5 A321 (3-class transcon config).
If 738 and A319 deliveries continue at the planned rate, expect to see the last MD-80 put down by about year-end 2016 or 2017.
The continued shrinkage of the 757 fleet may help explain some of the service cuts that we've already seen (and no doubt will continue to see) as the single-aisle fleet count will be down at the end of 2013 compared to year-end 2012. I assume that is a short-term issue as the 2014-17 deliveries are numerous enough to provide some growth (even figuring in MD-80 and 757 retirements).
AA predicts that 8 762s will remain at 12/31 (14 current - 6 retired during 2013). Expect the final 762 flight to occur before end of June, 2014.

Eagle shrinks in 2013 under the fleet plan announced today as all nine remaining ATRs plus all 37 seat RJs (21 of them) plus three 44 seaters will be retired this year. The only Eagle growth offsetting that contraction are 11 additional CRJ200s from Skywest.
It's widely expected that AA will announce a huge order for 76-seaters (E170s/175s and/or CRJ900s) this year, but of course there's no hint of that in today's press release.

Hoping they will announce which flight it will be. I wouldn't mind being on the last flight if I can sit in good old 3F reminiscing of how life has progressed over the years I've sat in that seat. I have a strong affection for sitting there after dinner with a Glenlivet in my hand with the last glow of the sun behind me heading back to the east coast.

So are they planning on replacing all of them with 777s? I remember they downgraded the DFW-FRA route to a 767 because they could never fill the 777. Seems a bit of a waste to go back. Of course I would prefer it as it would vastly increase my upgrade chances but that's a pretty poor business justification .

No, the 762s will be replaced by 3-class A321s for the JFK transcons. The 762s haven't flown to Europe in a decade.
You're thinking of 763s, and there is no change to that fleet announced today.
