I'm a BA flyer doing a lot of transatlantics in Y. I noticed the other day that AA are rolling out something equivalent to UAs premium economy which I used to fly and liked accordingly. So does anyone know what flights to LHR have the new layout? It certainly might convince me to fly AA a little more.
As someone who has flown both AA MCE an BA WT+ - I have to say that I would prefer MCE over WT+ any day of the week. There is more legroom, more perceived space and you can move the armrests (apart from first row). Very importantly though is the fact that the cost is a lot less.
I flew MCE in 11B from RDU-LHR-RDU a few weeks ago. Loved it. I bring my own IFE, so I'd actually prefer this over flying Y in a 777 (even over row 31).
Programs: My primary programs are AA EXP, Hilton Gold, National Executive. Also SPG Gold, Hertz Gold, AS & BA.

This thread has inadvertently become filled with quite a bit of misinformation, so I've deleted it and will close the thread. Please follow the general discussion for MCE seating and eligibility here, and see the equipment-specific links in the wikipost on that thread.
