BOS-DFW reduced to 3 daily non-stops in May 2013? (No)
Greetings,
I was looking at flights for BOS-DFW towards the end of May. The dates I looked at showed only 3 daily non stops, with the first departing around11:45 a.m. I checked radomly other May dates, weekdays and weekends, and it showed the same. With that said, I checked random dates in January thru April and July. Those months showed at least 6 non stops.
Is there a glitch tonight? Or is something going on? Thanks

Just matching service with demand. BOS is not NYC. No reason to run 6 daily flights if 3 will meet demand while preventing customers from defecting to other carriers. Especially higher-revenue business customers.
AA is quietly yielding BOS to B6 and others in order to reinforce the cornerstone strategy (LAX, DFW, ORD, MIA, NYC).

Yeah, but with the first flight leaving just before noon? 3 daily flight into their biggest hub seems kind of odd, even from a downsized BOS presence.

What is the source of your information? AA will operate 8 daily BOS-DFW weekday flights in May.

You should verify the information that's posted before pretending to know what you're talking about.
The fault lies with the new aa.com user interface, which is displaying just three daily BOS-DFW nonstops throughout May. Dunno why.
As I posted in the mega-thread about the new aa.com, Horton needs to fire some people and place their heads on pikes. Perhaps they could be displayed at the major cornerstone airports.

AA is operating 8 flights a day not 3. Seems like a schedule load error or as FWAAA points out an AA.com glitch.
3 flights a day on DFW-BO'S does not even pass the sniff test.
That's all that Orbitz is showing right now, too, for May 6 (just checking one date). Just the typical Saturday night AA schedule change foibles?
If it is just a weekend schedule loading glitch, then the fault lies with whomever thinks that it's a good idea to start that process in the very early evening in the east and when it's still mid-afternoon on the west coast. Better practice, IMO, would be to wait about 8 more hours before fouling up the booking engine (when a lot more people will be in bed and not booking travel).
Thanks for the replies. If anyone needs to know, I was using AA.com. My question was based upon only one month of the seven I tried showing only three daily flights. There was never panic, just a simple question to the very frequent flyers out there. Sorry if I offended anyone. Hey, one never knows as to why an airline might drop to three flights a day. JB was a good example. Thanks once again all.

Agreed. (May 8 now shows 9 non-stops BOS-DFW for 6 May.) Maybe we have futures in AA management?
