DFW Terminal change: C11 to D7 -Walk or Skylink?

1.5 hour connection.... it looks like there are several options. Will Skylink keep us in secure area so we do not need to go through security again? Thanks.

Yes it will keep you airside. I wouldn't worry, plenty of connection time.

1.5 hours? Plenty of time to walk from any gate to any other gate. Barring mobility issues, I'm not sure why anyone would take the Skylink with that much time.

Cheers.

Agreed. Some weeks, DFW terminal hopping is my main source of exercise.

Mine too! I thought I was the only one who tried to get their exercise that way.

Maybe I'm just lazy, but Skylink always for me. If the Admiral's club is more than 10-15 gates away, I seriously consider the Skylink if the net walking would be down to 8 gates...

BOTH Skylink or walking will keep you INSIDE the secure area.

C11 to D7 is not the shortest walk and the Skylink is probably faster but it is totally doable by walking. 1.5 hours is plenty of time. With so much time, I would walk it.

When time allows, I always walk between terminals at DFW. I love getting the views of the airport from the escalated walkways. Helps me work off the fattening food I just shoved down my yap in F.

Skylink is all within the departing passenger security cordon, a detail mentioned in the DFW Airport Skylink info page...

It's certainly walkable in plenty of time given the layover, but certainly far enough that most would hop the Skylink to get there out of convenience, given you'll have to walk to the north end of C, cross the bridge to terminal D, and then walk the length of D to get to the south end.

I find it kind of "cute" late at night to see all the carts plugged in to recharge on the walkway.

Have never walked airside to connect at DFW - usually my layovers there are 1h or less (thanks to frequent/convenient OKC connections) - but I'm going to have to try this next time!

Even 1 hour is plenty of time to make just about any walk work, assuming that the inbound is on time. All that is required is 30 minutes to get to the far gate to be there for the start of (most) boarding. This assumes that one walks at a reasonable clip. We tend to walk faster than average, so 30 minutes would allow any gate to any gate within all of DFW for us.

Cheers.
