You Know Who You Are!! :) [Moving from #2 to #13 on upgrade list]
So.... I checked in at the counter in Tulsa over the weekend on my way back to NYC. FC for TUL to DFW. (Happy, but effectively about 45 minutes from lift-off to wheels down)
When asked if I was on the upgrade list for DFW to EWR (about 3 hrs.), I was told that I was, and that I was second on the list, with six seats open. Arrived in Dallas, two hour layover. I headed to the gate with an hour to go, and found that I was 13th (!) on the upgrade list. I mean, c'mon!! Apparently oversold on the DFW-EWR leg. Asking for VDB for $300.
Final result- #1 on the upgrade list and sitting in my Y seat with a full plane. Not the way that I would have liked to end my weekend away!
where an EXP had a similar experience and asked the same question in post #1. It was answered in post #2.
As a reminder, the Flyertalk rules and guidelines state:
"Before starting a thread, use the search feature to see if there's a recent thread on your topic. Many questions come up repeatedly on FlyerTalk. If you're wondering about a specific Hilton property in Chicago, for example, there's a good chance a thread - or 10 - already exists. The search link is located in the navigation menu near the top of the Forums page. Keeping information on the same topic confined to as few threads as possible helps members quickly find the information they need."
Thanks for helping us keep the AA forum organized so that we all can easily find the information we are seeking.

Mods- just close this thread. It was meant to be tongue in cheek, hence the of the title. No need to remind me of the forum rules, as I was not really asking how I ended up so far down the list. C'est la vie- sometimes we intend something that does not translate well on the web......
And yes, Tulsa. There are things going on there, and we who do not live there still travel to such places.

FWIW, that's how I took it...but you have a tough audience here.
