Heads up - good whisky in ACs [Laphroaig]

At least on occasion. Laphroig is making the rounds of some ACs with whisky tastings and some swag they are giving away. I ran into them in the LAX AC yesterday. They are in SFO today. Upcoming in DFW, JFK, LGA, ORD and others.

I arrived from JFK and went into the AC to use the Internet briefly before getting a cab. They were setting up and I felt it my duty to investigate and report. They had the 10 year old and the quarter cask. Both seemed fine.

Best and most useful thread...ever...if I didn't have to go to work tomorrow, I'd indulge in a glass of Laphroaig right now

Cheers.

I work in the afternoon, so every night is a potential whiskey night

They waited for Passover to do this?

(no single malt during the 8 days, bummer)

Oh the suffering we endure.............

What, they don't offer doggie bag equivalents? This may be a good lesson - carry a 100 ml flask. Laphroaig is worth it.

For thjose who enjoy single malts but have pronunciation challenges, here's a cavernous-voiced help site. Slainte!

This almost belongs in the AA Kudos thread - but it's probably a Laphroaig publicity effort.

Yeah, but they make up for it with Purim:

According to the Talmud, a person is required to drink until he cannot tell the difference between "cursed be Haman" and "blessed be Mordecai," though opinions differ as to exactly how drunk that is.

Thank you.^

Interesting! I will be at DFW - D at about 16:00 / 4 PM April 26! (Thank goodness, Lady JDiver does not consider whisky drinkable, so I will be gallant and offer to drink hers.)

I will be pleased to make the acquaintance of the isle of Islay's Master Ambassador of Laphroaig! (Boy, they said the dream jobs were gone... see the TB! thread. ) I'll also be happy to help the Master Ambassador relieve him/herself of some uisce so s/he can benefit from less weight for the return trip.

oldpenny16, you guys had better get a working compromise going before the scrap begins - it's airside, after all!
