LAX T-4. Which gates are using buses for boarding?
Been flying WN for a over a month, so I'm a bit out of the loop. Have a flight tomorrow out of gate 40. Is it using remote boarding now? If not, which gates are under construction?

Please check aa.com for Important Los Angeles Area Travel Alerts - Know Before You Go for important information including which gates lead to remote, bussed gates. (E.g. at this writing, it is 47A and 47B.) Work on gates is expected to continue through May 2012.

As of last Thursday, gate 40 was not using the remote terminal.
From my observations while being bused from the Eagle terminal, it looked like 48A, 48B and possibly 46B were not currently being used.
49A inbound uses remote gate 212B. My last 2 IB's late at night 1 from ORD and 1 from LIH both went to 212B. Even getting on the first bus at the remote terminal means 24 minutes extra to get to Term 4. And checked luggage shows up 20 minutes later. Not a great way to finish a 5 hr and 20 min flight.
No experience (yet)with which gates OB use remote terminal.

I was there yesterday and will be there tonight, and can't say I remember what gates they announced yesterday. But because this project is a year long and they move from one gate to the next when finished, it's possible that the gate that departs from a remote terminal will be different tomorrow. The common sense arguement is to make sure you are at the gate no later than 45 minutes before departure, if not longer. That way, you know you won't miss the last bus of the flight once it has been closed out.
Yes, 46A is still using a remote pad, something like gate 212. I flew into LAX on AA25 from BOS yesterday and we were bused in from the remote locale. Those remote gates really are remote. Between that and the T4-T3 shuttle, I got a pretty good close-up view of the construction projects going on.
42B is torn up. They look like they are still in the demolition stage of the repair/remodel work.

Good deal. I am flying out if 48 at 8:am.
Have to drop my daughter off at school tommorow, and the earliest they open is 6:45 am. 10 minutes to airport, and I should be fine.
Hold the door for me!

Weird- and even started by the same poster. Wonder why they would start a new thread on the same topic rather than just posting in their original thread
