"Pregnant Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr is appealing to her 369,000 Facebook fans for advice on how to get lost luggage back from American Airlines."
. . .
"American Airlines says it has asked Kerr to fill out a questionnaire to help track the luggage, but has not received a response."

I have yet to find any value to Facebook. This does nothing but reinforce my opinion.

"Among the items in the lost bag is the antique wedding dress the Victoria's Secret Angel wore when she married Orlando Bloom this summer.
'Hi guys, I wanted to ask for your help... In July American Airlines lost my luggage and I have been trying to locate it ever since. Unfortunately the luggage had my wedding dress in it plus other things that I hold so dear. Has anyone else experienced losing luggage through American Airlines and if so did you ever locate it again? Any help would be greatly appreciated,' Kerr writes on her Wall."
..."American Airlines says it has asked Kerr to fill out a questionnaire to help track the luggage, but has not received a response."
I wonder if... she had two external tags with her information, as well as the information on the inside of her bag (or whether she kept her information a "secret") and whether she took out supplemental insurance - because a variety of valuables are not covered by the airline, and there is a pretty low ceiling on what is. But... but... she's a SUPERMODEL, DYKWIA? Indeed.
This is much less of an American Airlines related issue than a News Stand or TravelBuzz! issue, as it is replicated many times daily on all airlines.
