Bizzarre AA 777 incident at gate -- door ripped off plane
I am still scratching my head on this one.

No blocks, no brakes, no door. One less 777 in service for a bit. One new door, plus all the checks to assure pressure vessel integrity. Someone's gonna get their tail stepped on!
If this occurred as passengers were disembarking, they are sooo lucky nobody was injured!

Has this been corroborated from an alternate source.
I'm not saying its not true but its only been reported in that one source. Also the position and angles of the shots seems not likely to have come from a passenger.

Not as far as I know, but I'm not sure why you're doubting the validity of the source (linked in the original post). AFIK, their reputation is pretty solid, at least for mundane topics like this one.

Wagner said the flight was arriving from Sao Paulo, Brazil and that the 777 is currently out of service but could be flying as early as tomorrow.

I'd say it's reliable, and probably from a ground crew member or other airport worker.
Yes perhaps one of the guys who forgot the blocks on the truck :-).. I don't have a reason to not trust the article nor the source.. Just the old adage Trust but verify.. I see this has been verified by an AA source.
