UAIRQ will disappear, AWA will change ticker to LCC.

Most specifically if I held say 100 shares of USAIRQ, what happened to it with the merger?

Or if I had 100 of NWACQ, when it emerges, what will become of it? Will I still have 100 of the new NWAC stock?

Your 100 sh of UAIRQ ceased to exist. You own no part of LCC.

Same thing will probably happen with NW. Its old stock will be canceled and new stock will be distributed to stiffed creditors.

America West stockholders received a fraction of a share in LCC for each share they held. USAir stockholders got nothing. That's what happens (usually) when you hold stock in bankrupt companies.

Keep in mind that, in general, a bankrupt company is owned by its creditors and not stockholders. The stock is a parting gift....
