NH 909/910 change back to 744 from 77W in January
I had award flights booked in the beginning of December for traveling late January on NH 909, it showed a 77W beginning, but now I check again it become 744. I love to take the 744 anytime before they become extinct.
From the timetable, it looks like 744 is only running 1/10-12, 1/17-19, 1/23-31, I assume extra capacity for HK tourist going to Japan for Chinese New Year (start 1/26) ? Or there is a 744 going to for final run before it retire like in the past ?
3 class 772: 159Y
2 class 772: 111Y or 271Y
77W: 138Y
744: 228Y or 182Y

There is nothing related to gas with NH, and you can see 744 only operated on certain dates. Several years ago before the gas go up, NH had already announced fleet standardization, it would only consist of 3 types of planes, 737-700/800 for short haul, 767-300 for medium haul (which will be totally phase out when 787 arrives), and 777-200ER/300ER for long haul. 747 will be the first to phase out as it replace by 77W, also more domestic japan airports have noise restriction for 4 engine planes, it can easily replace by 777-300hence no more use anywhere.
