Seat Question- 2 class service on 3 class aircraft?

Hello,

I have booked a flight in C on NH from NRT-HKG. Their website shows the flight as a 777. So before selecting seats I checked out SeatGuru which initially called out one of the 772 configurations as being the likely one on that route. However when I got to selecting seats on anaskyweb, it looked more like a 773 with rows 1 and 2 showing 4 seats each, spread out like the F suites. I went ahead and selected 2A. Just curious if anyone knows whether NH sells F seats as C class on some flights or if this is some undocumented configuration. Thanks!!

I flew HKG-NRT earlier this year on a 773 and yes.. it WAS 3 class-sold-as-2...

Booked a multi-city/multi airline trip on Expedia and the seatmap there showed 2 rows of 1-2-1 then the usual Biz configuration.. so of course I chose row 1 for both of us...

No dramas at all.... when we went to pick up the BP's (bags were checked through but - as usual - had to deal with each airlline for BP's) the girl at the desk kept saying "First Class!"

VERY nice "pods" they have ! And if the meal we got was "C" then I can only imagine how good it would be in real "F"...

Enjoy......

I think NH usually operates a 744 and a 763 on their NRT HKG flights. But when one of those goes in for service they'll throw a four class 733 on there and sell the 'F' inventory as 'C' because, there's normally no 'F' on that flight. Good seat, nice score!

And Go Ducks, Oregon that is.

Thanks trooper and ctflyer, I am looking forward to the flight. It turns out that I am not allowed to take sides when it comes to Oregon college sports, since I am the offspring of a Beaver and a Duck

Your information is quite old, NH had ended 744 service to HKG some time ago. before that it was always using the three 744 still in old style, 403A, 404A, and 405A, when those planes sold to O8, then NH use regular 744 for a few months, then switch to 77W.

763 is only limited to NH 911/912, as well as HND-HKG and KIX-HKG, these three routes would only have 763 as aircraft as well as crews are operated by Air Japan (NQ). NH 909/910 is always 77W, the only flight to HKG operated by NH.

You just jogged my memory.... It was NH910... and a most enjoyable flight... First time with NH and I was very impressed with the FA's!

Being an Aussie and having NO IDEA about those teams I'll just shake my head in wonder.... (A Beaver and a Duck? )
