BTW as you mentioned and even if the PJ are suppose to be given back at the end of the flight, it's really easy to take them back.
Just tell the CP that the PJ are very comfortable or made out of great quality fabric or whatever and she will most likely tell you that she won't notice if 'by mistake 'you put the PJ in you hand luggage.
Thank you ! Finally someone had pointed out the real fact of PJ....The NH ones are a lot more sturdy, basically can reuse many many times.
So the sturdy, light blue canvas, karate/judo gi-style, Takashimaya PJ that can can be laundered many times is a GOOD quality pj and is a positive in support of good service in NH First.?
However, because pax receive used/laundered PJs and they are not allowed to take them home, some (as in not all) pax feel that one or both of these points it is a negative against NH First service.?
I can agree and answer YES with 100% confidence to the above.

Also there was a new service today that began on June 1.
Each F pax had top of the line Sony noise cancelling headsets set out in a standard zipping Sony case. Model was something like NC-5000. Anyway hingh end over the ear like Bose.
I teasted them and thought my Bose were better but it is a nice touch.
Yes they are re-used. But cleary care is taken as they are repacked and re-sealed.
No you cannot take them home.
I asked if they were a present and the CP laughed.
I need to get on SQ F one of these days. If NH is not setting the standard, Id like to see who is.

I have flown in SQ F a few times, and to be honest, I think they are on par. Yes, SQ offers cute little Ferragamo kits and the Givenchy cabin wear, but I think ANA has slightly better service. It's a tough call though, as SQ is pretty wonderful too.
In SQ F, you can choose between Dom or Krug and the twinkle in the FA's eyes as she asks you with a coy little smile, is priceless. Of course, with ANA, you're not exactly bottom-feeding... if I had to be *stuck* with something, I'd pick the Krug myself, anyway...
Thank you ! Finally someone had pointed out the real fact of PJ.
Check the givenchy PJ material from what SQ gives out, it is nothing like you can get from a givenchy store. If that is what they are selling, then I can tell you I would never want to buy anything from Givenchy. I had never said it is bad, it is comfortable, but cheap material. I just feel it is some no name PJ sew a givenchy logo on top of it. Totally different from the PJ they are selling as mail order in the duty free catalog. The NH ones are a lot more sturdy, basically can reuse many many times.
Take it from someone who knows. They bought the license to use the name. So they would make the PJs and slap on the name.
Same in Y where they give out 'amenity kits' with the Designed by Givenchy logo, and the drawstring pouch bag in C. Let's face it, that drawstring crap is the same as the ones they used to give before, and that was without the Givenchy branding.
Please don't be fooled. If you think the First Class PJs are truly Givenchy, then SQ Marketing has done their jobs well in creating perception over reality. And that also creates manic SQ supporters that think the airline can do no wrong.
