Also, it's worth noting,
having been ticketed as follows:
ICN-(OS)-KIX-(NH)-CTS
with ICN-KIX in Business,
I wasn't allowed to check my bags into my KIX-CTS flight as the that segment was the next day.
I was in transit (about 20 hours) but because of the date change the women at the ANA desk wouldn't help. I had to take my bags all the way into town and back. (I wasn't planning on paying for storage).
Sorry for being a newbie on ANA. Tried to find the correct and complete mail address for mailing in passenger receipt and BP for retroactive credit.
Found this one on the website and in my guide book as well:
ANA Mileage Club Service Center
Retroactive Registration Desk
Kamata Post Office AMC Service Center 144-8526
Will this reach the correct desk? Should I add Japan somewhere and/or Tokio or something like this? Just am curious that it will not get lost or being returned... thank you very much in advance!

If you'll send it by airmal, you should write Japan after AMC Service Centre. This address is like PO Box. By the way, 144-8526 is post code. Good luck!
NH has changed their point accrual/redemption scheme as of April 1, 2008. So while some of this info is the same, there is some that is different. Make sure to check the website www.fly-ana.com for more info.

partner transfers
As a newbie, I tried to convert my Amex points to ANA.
I read somewhere in their web site that it is limited to 40k per year.
Is this correct?
How do all the guys manage to book any award travel in C/J with 40k transfers a year?
What happens if you try to convert more - do you lose them?
Thanks
I don't know about converting Amex points to ANA but I have managed to book premium cabin awards through mileage accrual with UA Mileageplus. Others use different Star Alliance partners. Good luck !

Reason: correction
Will be flying ANA for the first time in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know which version of 777 they use for the SFO-NRT route? Seatguru has 3 versions of it. I'll be flying in economy. It looks like they have on-deman video screen for all 3 versions, but no A/C outlet for economy? Can anyone confirm please? Thanks ahead

It will be the 4-class 777-300ER.

Yes to AVOD, No to in-seat power.
You need to be in Premium Y or above to get power sockets.

ANA Family Account
My family and I fly UA and SQ most of the time. I fly enough to reach *A Gold, but they do not achieve any status, typically. I end up with orphan miles on the children accounts- not enough for a transpacific flight.
Would appreciate other's comments on this program, and also if anyone has any comments about accruing ANA premium points on other *A carriers (I usually fly econ or disc econ on SQ and UA, and wondering if I will have difficulty getting ANA mileage or status credit).
