I'm pretty sure the 787 route currently is HND/FRA, but why do I see a 77W? Did they change it? I also know that there are SEA routes planned; are they in the ANA Tool yet?
The next 787 delivery is due to leave Boeing shortly to arrive in HND late tonight. Assuming it is the next long haul configured aircraft, HND-FRA ought to go daily with an 787 within a few days.
Do you have a source for this? Everything I've been hearing is that the route will be started sometime within the 2012 fiscal year (i.e. before March 31, 2013).

I wonder if the OP is even aware of the Japanese fiscal year? And is referring to the Jan-Mar quarter of 2013.....YMMV

Perhaps, but my point was more that NH could start SJC service at any time after October 2012, if the various statements they've made are true. A more specific timeframe like "1Q 2013" is not something I've heard so far, hence my interest in the source.
There was a recent article in the Seattle times about the 787 routes.
Discussed the JAL and ANA flights.
"ANA will open two similar "long, thin" routes to the U.S., to Seattle later this year and to San Jose, Calif., next spring. No firm dates have yet been announced."

HND-FRA daily on 787 from 9th April.
Another ANA 787 had its flight test yesterday and is due to be delivered this month. No idea which cabin configuration though.

Isnt it a little inefficient or maybe a waste to use the 787 on short Japan domestic flights?
The fuel savings would probably not be realized on such short flights.
ANA probably wants their domestic Japanese customers to experience the 787 but operationally speaking, it seems that the plane could be better utilized on longer routes.
