C seats on intra-Asia routes?

I am looking at flying NH901 (NRT - SIN) operated by a 763 and NH910 (HKG - NRT) operated by a 777 both in C.

I am assuming that the 763 C seat is a cradle seat with about 60 inches of pitch, however per seatguru there is a version of the 763 in a 2-2-2 config up front, would they really use this on a 7 hour flight to SIN?

Is there a chance that the 777 would be a lie flat seat or would it likely be a cradle seat as well?

Also, how does the AVOD compare to AC / NZ?

Thanks for the hel

The 763 with configuration 2-1-2 in C is indeed cradle. We were in row 1 and I must say I found the seats very comfortable for the 6 hours flight from BKK-NRT.

I believe the 777s are flat seats on a little slope

There are two versions of Boeing 777-200ER - one is a Club ANA (long haul) and one is Club ANA Asia.

Club ANA long-haul - lie flat seats with a slope
Club ANA Asia - cradle seats

For the flights to Singapore, Club ANA Asia seats should be used on most flights.

AVOD is available on all Boeing 777-200ER flights.

Like most Asian airlines, Audio video on demand is available but the selections are weak compared to SQ, CX, QR or EK. There will be the usual array of movies (Hollywood), but limited short subject options and there will be also a good amount of Japanese movies and television programs. I personally am not too impressed, but like the system slightly better than JAL. However there are power outlets, so if you like Western programing, you might want to bring your laptop and have some DVDs or download some programs...

Compared to AC and NZ, the selection is definitely a bit weaker.

777 on NH 909/910 is indeed the 2 class 777 with angle lie flat seat. (C, PY, Y)

There are days also operated with 744 or 77W.

I was wondering if people could tell me if the C seats on United are more comfortable than the ANA craddle seats. I'm also flying this route and looking at the ANA cradle seats think that United biz might be more comfortable. Although the soft product on ANA might be just a little bit better than United , keeping in mid that United uses an Asian cres for this segment that generally delivers better onboard service.

Overall how was your experience on this flight (both hard and soft product)? I have a choice of UA or NH on this route early next year and have never traveled with either one intra-Asia. All my recent NRT-BKK has been JL (JO)...

Thanks!

If you're used to JL I would say go with NH. Their seats are good but their service is absolutely oustanding.

Along similar lines, I am planning to fly HKG-NRT in January with Mrs DUF and Micro DUF in C. There is either NH 912 (763) or NH910 (777).

Does anyone know which 777 is used on this route? Schedule wise the first flight is more toddler friendly but a good selection of children's movies is also important.

I just replied in post #5.

772 on NH 910 is the one with 2 class (C, PY, Y). It is the one use for NRT-IAD. There are weekends are using 744.

Children movies ? There are a few short subjects like Thomas and Friends or Tom and Jerry in the past, but don't expect a whole lot. There are also some disney games thats about it. Ask the FA the give you a blow up NH 747, they may sometimes blow up one and hang inside the galley in Y.

Thanks, ORDnHKG! I guess I should have read the thread rather than just stop after reading "NRT-SIN". Is the IFE the same on both the 763 and the new style 772?

i believe NH no longer operates 747 and 77W on NRT-SIN route. the only choice is 2-class 767
