Also interesting that HND-LAX is staying as a night flight (albeit with a slightly earlier departure) — didn't NH get 3 day slots and 1 night slot?

Correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't NH had the 77W on HND-LAX since last August/September or so? I had a 77W on HND-LAX last August (back when it was NH1006) and my booking for HND-LAX this August has been showing 77W since I booked in March. Flightaware/FR24 both show 77Ws operating NH105/6 now as well.

I'm pleased NH is keeping LAX in the evening. I personally prefer that schedule over the traditional daytime flights between the US and Japan. It also allows NH to offer a different timing compared to DL and AA.
Did the US and Japan amend any of the rules regarding nighttime slot departures, such as having to depart after midnight?

I thought so as well, but ANA listed it as having an aircraft change. Perhaps this formalizes what they've been doing since last year? IIRC they did not announce the upgauge.
The LAX flight now departs at 22:55, meaning it counts as a "day" departure (the nighttime slots are 23:00-04:59). You'll notice the arrival times at HND have been likewise adjusted so that they are 05:00 or later.

I like this. Just checked my reservation for Feb 2017 and it has updated to JFK-HND!
Edit: This is my new itinerary courtesy of UA. Any idea why it shows wait listed by my seat selection?

NH110 HND-JFK 1020 1000
NH9 JFK-NRT 1215 1525+1
NH10* NRT-JFK 1640 1610
NH109 JFK-HND 1755 2110+1
*they seem to have renumbered NH104 to make the flight numbers line up
And when the US goes back to EST NRT-JFK arrives an hour "earlier" so everything lines up as well:
NH110 HND-JFK 1020 0900
NH9 JFK-NRT 1115 1525+1
NH10 NRT-JFK 1640 1510
NH109 JFK-HND 1655 2110+1
Presumably this is the same as for TYO-ORD.

I am booked on NH NRT to ORD in January 2017. Amadeus already shows the change to HND ORD. Personally happy with the change.
Do these changes require an etix reissue? Amadeus still displaying old etix.
