Hi all. I've got some ANA flights SIN-NRT-SFO in ANA first. I've been searching around and can't find many reviews for going through NRT and continuing beyond in ANA F.
What sort of ground service do they provide? Will they meet and escort me to the lounge or to the connection like LH or TG? I know ANA isn't big on ground service and I'll be fine, just curious what to expect.

I've been through NRT several times, I'll be fine. I do enjoy the relaxing experience of not having to figure it out as part of a first class experience which is what a host greeting/escort is about for me. It's not a tight connection, I'll find my own way to the lounge.
I do wonder why they don't try to compete with others on the ground experience but I can conceive of business reasons why it just wouldn't be necessary. Execution does, however, seem simple enough but perhaps there are other reasons they just don't try with the ground experience.
Thanks for the replies.

Ok, another question for any of you that have departed SIN. Is there special security or must i be thrown in the fray at 0500 hrs? I departed ANA F at IAH one time, ugh. At least it was a late morning flight tho.

Singapore generally has the security check at the gate, or at a smaller group of gates. There is normally a priority line, but it depends a bit on the setup though. Anyway there will never be US style security lines anywhere. Even the fray will feel better than a priority line in the US.

If you take the CA/BR midnight flight, the security lane closes. The only ones that can skip you are those in an "family" and 90% of the travelers are grouped. Flying F is useless there. I've mentioned this to the front desk agents countless times and there's nothing they can do about it.

There are actually only a few airlines that do the escort thing for F pax, and all those ones that do it have just average inflight service and food like TG and LH, nothing compare to NH.
If there is none in NRT, there certain wouldn't have any in any outstations. Want the special treatment on the ground in the early hours ? Take a short hop to BKK and fly TG F.

If you have a 12hr+ flight waiting, i suggest you enjoy the Krug on NH, slipstream thru NRT immigration, and enjoy more Krug on the next NH F flight....

Thanks for asking this LNv22. I am on NH 203 in F in January 2017. Looks like I should fill up on dinner in the lounge because of the limited offerings. Shame, I wish I could enjoy NH during the day, but i don't want to overnight in FRA as it is not my final destination.
Does anyone have any experience keeping the F cardigan? I'm hoping to add to my airline swag collection

While they will probably not hover over you every second, and people have mentioned that they "accidentally" brought it off the plane, it is supposed to be returned.

Not in my experience...was just on NH5 last week and FA offered me a brand new set to take home after I changed out of mine before landing. Granted the cabin was just 2/8 including myself though.

That's not the cardigan. That's the PJ, which is meant to be taken off the plane.
