TOKYO May 29, 2013 –ANA Group, Japan’s largest airline group, will be introducing new uniforms for Cabin Attendants and Ground Staff as the Company transitions to a new corporate structure and celebrates its sixtieth anniversary. ANA is delighted to reveal that the new uniforms will be designed by acclaimed fashion designer Prabal Gurung, whose designs have been worn by First Lady Michelle Obama, the Duchess of Cambridge and Lady Gaga.

I always find it when they get a really amazing designer/name to do something like this...aka update some little flash of color.

I thought it was quite conservative and dull, until I saw the blue lines. I think they give a very nice touch. But the I think the scarves should have been left out.

Hideous and dull. The lines appear trying too hard but end up looking mismatched and amateurish. Like Project Runway gone bad.
I've always wondered... Japan is so cultural and refined... yet no elements of local culture are imbued in their airlines' uniforms. Both JAL and ANA dress their crew in boring suits. Think MH, SQ with their kebayas, TG in their traditional dress, even QF has aboriginal elements on their scarves.
