ANA announces dates for introduction of new PY

An official announcement is forthcoming, but an unofficial announcement is available from airlineroute.net.

NRT to:
JFK: 29 August
LHR: 14 September
FRA: 30 September
SFO: 1 October
LAX: 11 October
CDG: 21 October

These are all for the IOJ-outfitted 77Ws; the non-IOJ 773s are already fitted with PY.

Reservations open tomorrow (21 June).

If these seats are priced more like discounted C seats, I probably won't get too excited.

Does anyone know if the ORD flights will be getting these at some point, too? As I understand it, the older 777s flying to/from the US are 31" pitch in Y, but the IOJ aircraft are 34" - is this correct?

Probably, but just not anytime soon. As ORD flight is non-IOJ, so it already has the older generation of PY, right now their priority are to put PY in the IOJ 77W first.

That's correct, IOJ is 34" in 2-4-3 layout in Y. Non-IOJ is 31" in 3-3-3 layout.

They already have the IOJ Y seating. NH is planning to introduce PY on the 787s at some point in the future.
