Is compensation owed to delayed passengers a privileged debt? Does it get paid before unpaid wages of workers?

Not a "privileged debt" under the Italian insolvency law, but I'd think passengers are still protected by the EU regulations and some other domestic law.

BTW, currently and till Jan 12 is not properly the insolvent company "Alitalia Linee Aeree Italiane SpA" running AZ, it's a sort of hybrid.
Alitalia Linee Aeree Italiane SpA is operating, but costs are charged to CAI and CAI gets revenue.
Really strange. That's another messy chapter...
