LAX-FCO?

Any idea of when/if this is coming back after March 2009? Still have my reservation on LAX-FCO in June 2009. Just curious if anyone has heard anything.

I don't think that the LAX-FCO will come back.

But you haven't heard anything, right? It's still on the schedule after March 2009.

Yes, I don't have anything to confirm that the LAX-FCO won't come back, it's only a supposition .

My SABRE Corporate Booking Tool shows these flights are reinstated: 5 x weekly (no flights on days 2/5), operated with B777-200. Have you checked if these flights are bookable via alitalia.com?

Frankly, how can anything be reliable at this stage until the new Alitalia rises from the ashes of the old one and schedules stabilise? It is well nigh impossible at this stage to predict what is going to happen with AZ LAX-FCO next summer. You might as well speculate as to what the numbers will be for next week lottery/lotto.

It has always been bookable for next summer. Never was removed.

April LAX - FCO

We have tickets for round trip April 15 LAX to FCO and then back on April 25. When I search on Kayak or even on Alitalia website cannot book any new ticket for any dates. I called Alitalia in US and person claimed the flights still on. What is up? Just Italian chaos while sorting out buy out by CAI?

I understand they had cancelled flights out of LAX until March 26th

I am on the LAX-FCO in June 2009. So far, the flight is still on the Alitalia website, but we just have to sit and wait to see what happens.

Update: Alitalia has "zero'd out" all the classes of service for AZ621 from LAX-FCO for my original flight in June 2009. I don't imagine they sold the flight out, but I imagine that this is a precursor to cancelling the flight officially. I guess I just have to wait for it to be removed altogether before calling DL, yes?

Hopefully, I can get the AF LAX-CDG-FCO as a replacement. With a true final destination of PMO, any chance of DL helping me out and getting me all the way to PMO because of this "inconvenience"?

LAX apparently will be an Alitalia destination with FCO (Rome) still

Someone has posted on wikipedia the list of the "New Alitalia" destinations:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alitalia_destinations

It shows FCO - LAX as "seasonal". It appears my flights in April will be on still as well as MIkeyBT's (in June?). It does not show up on Kayak or the Alitalia website but Amadeus shows as a codeshare flight for Delta.

I figure not showing up because of the Alitalia changeover going on as I write this. I hope the flight will start showing up as bookable for post late March flights as they had planned (until November?)
