You should be fine (AZ flight+AZ card) - I don't think they'll go funny when noticing (if they'll notice, at all) that the FF number on the boarding pass is actually AF/KL.

Any recent experiences with this benefit?

Flying Alitalia from LHR in Y, with FA card. Can I use the Etihad lounge or will I be directed to the Skyteam lounge?

Etihad lounge is for CFP, try but expect to be bounced.

Just to confirm that indeed I wasn't allowed into the Etihad lounge at LHR. To recap, and for everyone's benefit:
Freccia Alata > Skyteam lounge
Freccia Alate Plus > Etihad lounge

Thanks for confirming!

That's what I thought might be the case, given we have not heard reports of any alata holders receiving this email invitation to use Etihad. Certainly makes it more worthy to try and requalify for the alata plus for another year.

I thought being an FT-er automatically makes you winged

Who puts the adjective after the noon, and how is nufnuf expected to keep up with all this?

I've upgraded myself to Ottima for an upcoming trip so that I can try the lounge. It'll also be my first time in Ottima!

That is turning out to be one very expensive trip!!!

Enjoy the EY lounge. I've not been to the one in LHR (yet) but their lounges are really good.

I know! And it's only for 2 nights!

Does anyone know if I could bring a guest with me? I'd be getting access as flying in business, but I'm only CFA (and my travel companion would have no status).

No. Business class tickets do not allow you to bring guests.

I know that. I imagine the answer is no, but I was wondering if somehow I could guest due to my CFA status, which I know wouldn't give me access to the Etihad lounge.
