AZ pax can use EY LHR lounge [no longer available for AZ passengers]

we await you at London Heathrow with a first class welcome!

From 1° December 2015 when you travel on Alitalia flights departing from Londra Heathrow, you will be our guest at the prestigious Etihad Airways First & Business Class Lounge, at Terminal 4, where you will be able to enjoy comfort and well-being:

A FIVE-STAR RESTAURANT boasting an international menu and select products of the highest quality
THE EXCLUSIVE SIX SENSES SPA with 15 minutes of free treatment
WI-FI CONNECTION is a seating area with flat-screen TV and a selection of leading global magazines.
A CHILDREN'S AREA and SHOWER FACILITIES
I am not sure if this is only FAP and Business, but I doubt it.

This is very impressive. AZ must be up there as one of the top ground service providers at LHR for this. And, shorthaul as well!

No other short-haul provider gives spa-treatments at LHR to my knowledge?

Arguably a better experience than CCR.

That's great news - and the choice between 2 quality lounges when travelling from Heathrow is a massive plus.

On a different note -

Londra Heathrow
For God's sake - can anybody (marketing people, external agency - whoever) actually reread/review these e-mails before hitting send And this is not the first time I've come across things like that... Communication used to be way more professional & efficient back in the 90s!

I was wondering the same. Did any CFA receive this email?

Can you tell us your source for this info?

And does this mean AZ flyers have a choice between the Etihad and the Skyteam lounges? Or in which cases are AZ flyers entitled to which lounge?

Thanks.

That leaves out SkyTeam Elite Plus travelling on AZ, if I read it correctly.

Yes, or at least I'm assuming that's the case. Bringing a guest along is one of the benefits of CFAP membership and I doubt you (or, better, the guest) will be rejected on whatever basis. Please report back.

This is very premium indeed, in a few weeks I will try it (with a guest hopefully) and report back.

I have to say I've quite taken to AZ. It might be boredom with BA and the downward spiral whereas AZ is on the up. I quite like the FCO lounges, Aperol spritz and all that, having a staffed bar is pleasant.

BA have very good staff its their greatest asset. I've found this to be the case on CityLiner but rather inconsistent on mainline AZ and their biggest downfall right now.

Please do report back, I am pretty curious and tempted to adjust one of my upcoming London trips

Flying AZ, crediting miles to FB, presenting Freccia Alata Plus card - will I get access?
