Alitalia Z award release pattern
I see one Z space for the dates I need on LAX-FCO. Does AZ release more award space once the seat is taken? Is there any reliable pattern?

If you're seeing it on ExperFlyer and trying to book out of Millemiglia , good luck. I've been seeing Z's appear and disappear for over a month on a similar over Atlantic route but they are never actual bookable. It appears that AZ uses some other class for its own J award availability!

No, I would be booking from DL and DL can see this seat. My problem it's only one seat and I winder if they have a pattern of releasing one more once this one is taken. I can test it but that's gonna cost me $150 in cancellation fees.

Anyone have recent knowledge about this topic? I currently have a 2 coach seats later this year on DL metal FCO-LGW-JFK. AZ is showing 1 J seat available via the Delta website. Odds another opens up if I book the one showing available now?

Hi,
Yesterday I was lucky enough to stumble on Z inventory - 1 seat - for BUD to FCO to MIA, for 62,500 Delta miles. I grabbed it. As of this morning it is no longer available, has not been replenished...
I was also lucky enough to find coach inventory back from NYC on a Sat night - RDU - JFK - FCO - BUD - in July at low-level (30,000 miles on Delta) and grabbed it too. That inventory has not been replenished, either...
Thrilled that I could burn my Delta miles for summer travel but my lesson, thus far at least, is that if you see the inventory, grab it asap.
