How flat is flat?

From what I gather on this forum the new Magnifica seat is fully flat and horizontal. Pictures like
http://www.alitalia.com/GB_EN/your_t...ess/index.aspx
or www.flatseats.com/Product/news_alitaliaB777.htm
seem to suggest that the seat isn't fully flat after all as the backrest is slightly raised. Is this just a particular setting or is the new Magnifica seat indeed just "partially flat"?

Its flat. And had a great sleep last night

Put it in perspective I flew out to US BA in F (old first) and back ex LAX in J (new J). Preferred AZ (for seat and catering), enough said

Yes, it is fully flat. And I also find it more comfy than the club world seats.

Yes, totally flat for a great night's rest. My recent MIA>MXP flight was the best TATL flight I've ever taken. Seats are very comfortable and private; meals were outstanding.
