FCO-WAW (Business Class) Info
Has anybody recently flown AZ on the above route? If so, could you please throw a light on the following:
- Lounge: which one would I use at FCO? Moreover, is there an AZ or Sky Team lounge at WAW? - Aircraft: any idea of the plane normally in use on this particular route? I've heard that it is usually a former AP's A320? - Catering: 'rumors' suggest that AZ recently upgraded their European business class product - is that correct and what am I likely to get in terms of food? Any tips in relation to the above would be highly appreciated. With thanks in advance, G |

There is also the lounge on the crowd floor just near the check in...it was Skyteam was memory but was closed, so they directed people to the Freccia Alata lounge a few metres down.

NO - only quite mediocre Airport Authority Lounge. It is small, but quite deserted these days (since when LO and Star Alliance opened their dedicated lounge upstairs).
Cheers anyway... G |

Just flown IEV-ROM. The food is same sh.. (sorry) as it was, though to some extent better than AF shorthaul premium food.
The only and quite a significant improvement from last year is new silverware - it is now quite heavy and more genuine for a business class. On the downside is the prosecco being served from a big bottle (0.75l) rather than having a small bottle given to passengers, but this could be one flight problem rather than a new policy. |

Do you mean the lovely prawn salad? Out of interest, what did you get [in terms of food] on your flight?

Well, it doesn't take much to beat the awful AF's plastic box :td:

Have never seen this salad. I normally get sliced meat and piece of spinach pizza or something of a kind.

Perhaps because it was a longer flight (yours). I used to fly mainly CDG/AMS-FCO (connecting from MAN), which are relatively short segments.
