Seriously: they should think about it. Maybe they don't need it right now, but it wil take years to receive them, and they may have issues in the future in terms of capacity management.

AZ could go for the 747-8 - less waiting time and ok for quite a few routes vis a vis capacity |
It's all very nice to say they should buy a b747, a380 or whatever, but for now they haven't got enough cash. It's already good news that they have secured AP's order for 12 A350's, which should start coming in after the A330's, towards 2015, and will seat some 290 passengers, like the 777.

The order backlogs are very long it, except for the 747-8, so they need to hurry up and get a good delivery slot, otherwise it will take ages before receiving anything with 2 wings and at least 300 seats. |

There are solutions I really don't think that AZ can "live" off A330 + A350 for longhaul (although AY and IB do now with A330/340 and A340 respectively..) |
