NTSB Investigates "Near Miss" Near Anchorage
Just south of Anchorage Airport, an Alaska Air passenger jet and a cargo plane came within a quarter-mile of one another at the same elevation.
The Alaska Air's B737 collision avoidance system alerted the crew of the cargo plane's location and the pilots were able to increase their altitude.
