Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to Los Anchorage I go... two days of meetings in the Hilton.

AS65 KTN-WRG-PSG-JNU-ANC 11/19/13
AS62 ANC-JNU-SIT-KTN 11/22/13

Yay for the milk runs on YCA fares... at least I get an exit row

Ah, the good 'ol milk run north from KTN. You have no idea how much I (don't) miss flying that route. (Side Note: Years ago it may also have included SIT & YAK as well as the other stops IIRC.) I also (don't) miss flying on the combi cargo planes.

ANC-PDX - AS 140 - 11/21/13
PDX-ANC - AS 137 - 11/25/13
ANC-SEA - AS 106 - 11/26/13 (that dreaded combi ... )
SEA-DXB - EK 230 ... oh snap, that's not an AS or QX flight ...

Have fun at Japan DO. I'm doing my last of 3 $135 DL F tickets BOS-HNL this weekend. Just got back from HNL a couple days ago.

I'm booked on AS BOS-SAN-BOS the second weekend of May but will probably cancel. Interesting that it gives me 3 cancel options with different expiration dates:

Deposit the value of the tickets as credit into My Wallet.
•You are eligible for credit in My Wallet without any cancellation fees. Credit may be used for eligible flight purchases.
•Credit expires November 30, 2014.

Email the ticket value as credit.
•You are eligible to receive credit certificates by email without any cancellation fees. Credit may be used for eligible flight purchases.
•Credit expires November 30, 2014.

Email the canceled ticket numbers and use later to retrieve the value.
•If you exchange your ticket for a new one, the difference in fare and taxes will be due. Change fees are waived for MVP Gold members.
•Save the ticket numbers you receive by email. You may use the value toward travel completed by May 10, 2015.
I may have to take option #3 but seems option 1&2 may allow a later fly by date

I really enjoyed the monorail at HND. Definitely a very unique transportation experience, especially the seats!

Tokyo should be very nice this time of year as well. If you're into ramen, I would highly suggest checking out David Chang's jaunt around TYO in search of the best ramen!

For me, it depends on the time of day.
Rush hour is not so fun.
Otherwise, I agree - cool way to get into town.

pfft, Tokyo.

My next AS flight is to OMAHA!!
Actually my final destination is across the river, in Iowa. I'm crossing off state number 50, thus reaching my goal of 50 states before 50. Meeting up in DSM with friend doing the same (except he's 50+).

and technically, yes I know this is really an OO flight, but it should have the smiling dude on the tail.

Ahhh, another favorite of mine. Fun fact, depending on the route you take from downtown Omaha to OMA, you cross into Iowa and then back into Nebraska.

Also, I really enjoyed the Old Market District in downtown, if you get a chance to check it out. The Drover, off of Dodge Rd a little west of the city, is also great "old Omaha" style restaurant, with whiskey marinated steaks!

10/01 - BLI-PDX-LAX-SEA-BLI
10/11 - SEA-DTW-SEA

And that should just squeak me in for another MVP. Although now we are possibly going back to HNL in November, which means the 10/01 MR will have been a waste! Oh well, grabbed it for $200rt.
