AS Awards to/from Alaska will be discontinued after 8/31/08

Gotcha!

But any guesses as to what the next AS Mileage Plan "enhancements" missy will be alerting us to will be?

I think many of the partner contracts were up for renewal/renegotiation.

Hopefully the next one will be a real enhancement - all the LAN affiliates onboard - hopefully this won't come at the expense of higher redemption rates.

AS just presented me with a lovely enhancement...all of my post-9/1 itineraries to or via SFO and LAX from ANC have now been re-routed through SEA or PDX. It seems they are cutting the non-stops between ANC and SFO/LAX sooner than planned (service ends 8/24 and 9/6, respectively)

I searched the forum for any news on this, but didn't see anything.

Clearly, these routes just weren't cutting it this year with a slight decline in tourism and fuel prices.

Yeah, hopefully KE and HU will becomes partners with EQM, so that we have more choices when flying to Asia.

But with all the recent cutbacks (on everything), don't count on getting more enhancements on the award program.
