Wine Miles Cheaper than Instant Miles
As mentioned in another post, I was thinking I may have to buy about 5K Instant Miles for a SEA-BKK award. As it turns out, taking one four bottle shipment of the "California Treasures" club earns 2490 miles at $0.024 per mile, whereas the instant miles cost $0.025 per mile. A small difference, to be sure, but in the former case, I also get 4 bottles of wine! I'm curious to see how the wine is.

For those in disqualifying states, order a $5 corkscrew. I think the terms state any purchase to qualify for the 2,250 bonus miles.

I just signed-up for the Wine Club without buying anything ( no wine sales in FL) - if you click on Wine Clubs and scroll to the bottom, you just have to enter your e-mail and AS number - then hit submit. Now I'll have to wait and see if the miles actually get credited.
