Crediting VX flights to AS?

@missydarlin ...

Are they still counting VX flights credited to AS as partner flights/segments for status qualifying/requalifying purposes?

Have they said specifically if flights credited to VX would be merged in with our AS mile/segment total for this status year (2017) yet?

Any chance they can figure this out soon? I'm being forced to choose AS metal over VX metal on routes where VX makes more sense. Shouldn't it be seamless for qualifying purposes for this status year?

Thanks in advance,
-David

VX flights count the same as AS flighths. So any combination of VX and AS that gets you to 20K gets you MVP, 40K MVP Gold.

They are are not a partner as far as status miles are concerned.

That's contrary to what Alaska's twitter team said.

At this time VX will credit under the Partner rules.
Have you done this?

All of my VX flights have credited as AS (not as partner). Missy said this a long time ago when I asked the same question. I'll see if I can find the post.

Edit: here is the first time she said confirmed it http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/27633923-post26.html

Found it:

She even links to as.com where the table shows it: https://www.alaskaair.com/content/mi...-benefits.aspx
