As the person who may end up behind you, no.

And how would they do that, if a 75K there is a special code they put in the seat to make it recline more than it would for everyone else?

+1 to this. Usually working on the flight, so I don't recline, and I do use my laptop.

For me it depends on time of day. Red eye, then YES PLEASE. It would be nice to have that option.
As DAyone mentioned, asking politely to raise seatback is always an option.
Again.....Golden Rule applies.

psh. a TRUE Alaska MVP Gold 75K knows better. If we are going to work, we grab row 1 or exit row. If we are going to drink, sleep, and watch dige we do rows 2 & 3. But NEVER 4.

On reconfigured aircraft, Row 2 is the best of/for both worlds.

Flew VX for the first time this week. Ran into the same crap, not good.

I'd suggest everyone give Alaska feedback on this. I sure did, and won't touch a VX flight because of it.

It baffles me they finally allow AS flyers to get free bags, but we still get crap seats.

For now I'll pick AA over VX, at least I'll get a decent seat.

The pay for anything but a middle in the back is supposed to be fixed this summer. I'll give AS a little slack as they combine the systems and benefits. I have taken quite a few VX flights and had to pay extra for seats. Yes it sucks, but not much we can do until they get VX's system to recognize our AS status.

+1 Just booked another trip on AA instead of VX for a transcon; just had a super-sub par experience in VX F.

Too bad MCO/SAN is full or I'd be on that plane.

THIS!!

I had a layover in SFO from LAS on miles, and as a paid Boardroom member, I went over to the AA Lounge. Lady told me to pound sand, since my ticket was on VX tin.

My hangover would have really appreciated the free booze.
