We're lucky to have missydarlin as a long-standing member of our community. For those who don't know, Missy works for Alaska and has been gracious enough to serve as an unofficial liaison between us and her employer. (She's also an all-around sweetheart.) She's kindly offered to help clear up any confusion and answer any questions that we have in regards to the December 19th announcements from Alaska and associated changes to Mileage Plan.
In order to help her manage finding and answering your questions and keeping things readable around here, let's refrain from engaging in discussion in this thread. Please post only your questions and any directly-related follow up for Missy. If you have other commentary or responses to things posted here, let's keep those for other threads. (This one's a good one to post your comments in.)
We will be deleting any off topic discussion as we see it, so please only post questions to this thread.

Is there any word yet how the status match will work?
VX Gold is more expensive to reach than AS Gold so hoping VX Gold will match to MVP Gold 75k.

Can you tell us which routes will be eligible for the lower mileage awards.
e.g. I can see loads of LAX-SEA for 7.5k but not a single day of LAX-GUC for less than 12.5k. Both are available as w on EF

They're all eligible, won't necessarily always be available. I'm guessing LAX-GUC isn't offering any of the lower revenue buckets either.

BTW, for those who were asking, I got my first comp upgrade on an award ticket on Saturday morning. Booked on AS stock, LGA-MCI-SEA, MCI-SEA I was #2 on the WL and was upgraded.
EDIT: Worst typo. I'm sorry, everyone. It was an AS-issued ticket; I wanted to highlight that but my brain checked out after I typed the bold tag.

Kufat,
Was your award an AA award? Or an AS award? If it was an AA award how on earth did you get added to the waitlist?
Edit: Woaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, stop the presses!!! My BA award ticket magically says "First Class waitlisted" this morning!!!

"Customers may continue to book awards on DL through April 30, 2017."
Does this mean that award bookings using AS miles can only be made for travel before 4/30/17, or that all ticketing must be completed by 4/30/17 but dates beyond that can still be ticketed with AS miles?
Secondly, if we already have DL travel booked for post-4/30/17, but do not have our AS numbers affiliated with the bookings...will those earn as if the FF# was added at the time of booking?

I must have skipped over this in the announcement. So flights on VX are considered as AS metal for elite level qualification in the same way that QX is? As in, one needs only 40k to reach MVPG using all VX flights or a combination of AS/VX flights, for example? If so, that's great!
