Depending on your flying and spending habits, AF/KL's Flying Blue may not be a bad option for you if you're looking for a place to credit DL flying. The lower Y fares don't earn much, but it's still based on distance flown, and C+ fares earn 125%. AS still earns miles with Flying Blue too.

and so, it's over.....wished there was more Northwest than Delta. Noticed last night, DL in AS magazine is clearly left out.
People tell me, however, that the interline agreement is still in place. While it might not work well, especially when traveling on non AS award, but when option for AS/VX/AA reroute is doubtful, DL might still be a possibility.....

I don't think DL went as far with AS as they did with AA in regard to interline (for tickets and baggage) but not 100% certain.

AS still flies to a number of places that DL and the other big carriers don't and aren't ever likely to; I see UA checked bags delivered in EAT all the time, for example. Unless there's some IRROPS compensation dispute like the one that led to the DL/AA interline split, I don't see why DL/AS would want to give up even the ability to sell interline traffic like that. It's not like an interline agreement forces any airline to sell fares they don't want to sell.

I see no reason why they won't keep an interline agreement. This can be used to buy a ticket on both carriers on a GDS (in case you're going to somewhere that is only served by DL (as in no AS codeshare) or if needed due to IROPS. It's a common agreement (except for DL/AA).

Sadly got my last DL posted to my AS FF, not bad with bonus. Too bad as the schedule for me was perfect, I'd have continued with AS PDX-SEA, DL SEA-PVG, DL PVG-LAX, AS LAX to PDX, but now will go back to UA or AA.

Got mine, too for a DL trip last week to PEK. Glad the miles/bonuses posted correctly so I don't have to worry about that. I will miss DL (that new Seattle SkyClub sure is nice), but I guess AA will serve my needs when AS doesn't work.

I suspect that DL will be the loser with this breakup. AS travelers will now go out of their way to fly either AA or AS. Sad this had to happen as I have been enjoying the DL clubs in both SFO and SEA on this route.

Sad to see this relationship ended. Felt like seeing the ink dried on a divorce paper. I am still waiting for my last DL flight to post, and I still have an award ticket to Europe on DL this summer.
I will have to earn skypeso again flying to Asia, and I have a business trip coming up next month to GUM :<

Just boarded my last AS earning DL flight, DL145.
It's been a fun ride DL.

When the benefits on Virgin America get better I can fly via SFO. I won't until I can at least get better seats.

An extended taxi in AMS followed by an uber congested FIS and TSA negated any of my SC access (or any other lounge for that matter).

This is a major loss for AS, which is left with a somewhat reduced domestic and absolutely gutted international network. I recommend spending a few minutes doing award searches to/from the East Coast or Europe -- you'll see how much worse the availability has gotten (practically nothing on AA/AF/KL), not to mention the inferior product of FI/DE and ridiculous surcharges on BA. I suspect I'm not the only one who'll be driven back into DL's arms by this divorce.

As an East Coast flyer who loved being able to credit AA and DL flights to the same program, DL will be the one who loses out where I'm concerned. AS will pick up much of my west coast travel, AA will now get close to all of my transcons, and DL will only get the western flights when I have no other options available.
