Name match for converting SPG points to Alaska?

Name match for converting SPG points to Alaska?
I am thinking of converting some of my SPG points to my father's Alaska account which has the same last name as mine. Will the conversion go through despite of unmatched first name? Thanks for sharing your experience.

I don't know the answer for your particular question, but SPG allows free points transfer between members on the same household, so maybe you can create an SPG account for your father and transfer points to his account?
