Tried the Chili for the first time. It had a nice flavor and was pretty good. No beans, which is greatly appreciated, and not too salty or spicy.

People complain about the potato, there were two large potato wedges, and not chunked up potato cooked in the chili. One of the menus referred to as having Chili on top of baked potato, which is similar in effect.

A brief description of the meal: Chicken pot pie + Seattle chocolate. I don't know how I've missed this one for years but it was the first time for me. I found it reasonably tasty, though the amount of filling was very skimpy.
i got this same breakfast on today's sea-lax 7:50am flight. (as 482)

Any reports about the dinner/breakfast service on transcons this month?? Hoping for something *new*....if the pattern holds, next month should be the return of that Mexican fruit plate and the cod with shrimp salad....

SEA to LAX
10 am flight
Pre departure drink none (bottle of water handed out after take off)
Snack offered. FA described it as fruit and cheese but, not like one in Y.
Actual plate was 2 slices of cheese, 3 crackers and 10 raw almonds. Not at all the fresh fruit and cheese received in F in December.
FA later told me that he was embarrassed when he saw what was loaded.
Y had hot meals and snacks available for purchase. Our FA went to back and got a hot meal for me after Y meal service was over.
My husband ate my cheese plate as his was not enough to hold him to LA.
Also, NO POWER at seats or inflight entertainment on flight. (so much for last month of free trial)
My two cents.
If you were on flight 422 (the schedule for SEA-LAX service tend to suggest that, it's the 10 am departure), per Flightaware that route was flown by a 737-400 on the date of your trip. As the -400 birds are going to be phased out in the coming years, reports are they won't be outfitted with power at the seats.

So for West Coast dinner/snack flights the March offering is gnocchi, with meat sauce and two pieces of broccoli.

Would rather have the polenta. The gnocchi was extremely dry. The young FA took a long
time to serve either drinks or food, and mentioned the food would be a few more minutes
because it had to "get up to temperature". No wonder it was dry. It was awful.

on IAD-SEA this Wed evening ... curious if there will be anything "out of the ordinary" for the return leg of the (re)inaugural flight on this route

It should be the typical trans-con dinner for March although strangely enough, there has not been one trans-con meal report this month so I'm not sure what rotation we're on....if the pattern continues, I do know that next month should be the return of the shrimp salad with cod or ravioli and blackberry cobbler....last month was the weird salad with blackened chicken/mac and cheese and cheese cake. The only other meal I can think of that it might be this month is that one that comes with warm apple pie...not sure about the entrees with that one.

Meal: Pear/blue cheese salad with roll and then choice of parmasean cod with scalloped potatoes and swiss chard (or spinach or something) or tortellini with sausage and some raw spinach and cheese on top, and then a mini apple pie thing for dessert. I had the tortellini.
Thanks....just to clarify...was this the croissant French toast, the lemon curd French toast, or (unlikely) just regular French toast??
