firsthand experience with upgrades ANC-PHX/LAX/LAS?
i know that upgrades ANC-PDX/SEA tend to be tricky at best even for our friendly 75Ks. does anyone have a good sense of how readily MVPG and 75K are upgraded on the longer 2nd tier ANC routes, such as PHX, LAS, and LAX?

i'm just looking for routes where i will probably be OK for future travel without burning a cert 
no specific dates in mind (other than the DO next fall!)

In my experience, anything ANC-lower 49 is a crapshoot.
You know you're ANC-bound when they call for MVP/Gold boarding and half the gate area boards.

Thanks. LAX is the most convenient other than SEA/PDX, so maybe I'll try that on my next trip up. Use a cert on the southbound redeye and roll the dice on the northbound evening flight.
