Accidental Evac Slide Deployment

So what happened here? Anyone know location or details? Someone had a bad day. (Photo posted to Reddit without supporting data.)

Comments on reddit made it sound like it was WRG-PSG flight. Not certain of that though.

Looks like Alaska (state) and 400 series A/C.

And looks expensive!

Does look like a photo taken from the ramp at WRG.

Something like this almost happened to a flight of mine last year in SMF. The catering folks came up to the plane after they armed the doors (and I presume the anti-collision light was on), and tried to open it. I've never seen the FAs move so fast to disarm and hold the door shut. I couldn't figure out why catering was coming up to our plane when we were all buttoned up.

I hope that catering guy said thanks to his preferred deity that night, because he came within six inches of getting killed.

I wonder what kind of MX and parts they need to repair that? They must have had to bring in an MX crew and a new slide. Private charter to get them there? Or have another regularly schedule flight passing by stop to drop them off.
