Any ideas? (sorry if this is the wrong place to post)

Don't suppose AS would round up from 38,463 to 40K....and I got the gold challenge last yr, don't hold out hope for another.

Thanks!

SFO-PSP is reliably cheap and can be done with a very quick turn. they are advertising it on sale for $69 each way. two days of that and you can get it done. another option is SJC-RNO with the 500 mins, you can get it in a day with two nested round trips.

What does it say about me that I would rather miss NYE celebrations than not get MVPG?

AS871 will count for 2014 requal :cool;

Sad you'll miss our NYE extravaganza in ANC though...

Finally got the 75K packet tonight-

Think it showed up three days ago based on the layers in the mailbox
Mine was in a big batch of mail that I picked up on Tuesday. I'm not very good about checking it daily, so not sure when the packet actually arrived. My guess is that they did a batch mailing recently.

The extravaganza is on!!! Beckoa will be travelling slightly north to acquire some of the required (ahumm) "necessities" for the evenings festivities.
I think in that case, you should be able to request ORC? Or something similar?

I trust I will get credit in 2014 for it but does anyone know for sure?

I think 871 is ok...if the flight is delayed it should post to the original departure date. If a reroute is required, I'd think a call to Customer Care should help rectify the posting and status.

And yes I'll need to make a run (but that's another thread )

Can't do partners

Actually, are you GOLD NOW? If so - we get free changes. I'd route you through PDX, or even LAX/LAS and hop a codeshare flight northbound into SFO from southern california.

I used to do this alot with United... I'd fly FLL-ORD-SFO-LAX-LAS to help push me over. I've even done SFO-FAT-LAS on SkyWest ^_^
Yes - I'm MVPG now, but would need 15401 (minus JNU-SEA-SFO RT) partner miles.

I'm thinking I may do a quick JNU-SEA-JNU, especially if there is a Cyber Monday sale of any use to JUN-based AS customers.

Here's my dumb question - if I call the MVPG reservations and explain my goal, can they, will they, help with a re-route of my JNU-SEA_SFO-SEA-JNU itineray as you suggest, or, do I need to work it out and request a specific route?

Thanks! (again)

Sue

Added a cheap SEA-DEN RT

Not bad: 10,000 miles +$131.70 = 2042 EQM bringing me over the MVPG threshold.

SEA-DEN 8:35pm - 11:58 PM - DEN-SEA 6:00 AM- 8:01 AM. No doubt its the same plane.

Ahhh....

They cyber Monday sale last year was easily one of the better AS sales of the year and I liked the fact that the fares were good for about a week....8 more days til we get to see this year's sale This is a good sale to lock in a good deal on a Jan/Feb mileage run just to get the ball rolling for 2015....last year I bought PDX-GEG-PDX-SEA-LAX-SEA-EUG-PDX (many of the short QX hops like PDX-EUG go on sale for $49 which is about as low as they're gonna get and they make great positioning flights for PDX/SEA connections).

Done for the year on UA and AS. Still working at it on DL.

UA 59.9K PQM/33.5 PQS/$4350 PQD

AS 51K EQM/33 EQS -- 10K EQM/8 EQS on AS metal, rest on partners.

DL 8.5K MQM/8 MQS so far. Will finish Plat Medallion challenge on December 29 about halfway back from JFK and end the year at ~24K MQM.

Been a pretty rough year of flying. Hoping to scale way back next year to ~75K BIS split 1/3-2/3 between AS and DL.

I figure that I will hit 75K somewhere over Vancouver Island this morning on my way to ANC. Probably why my upgrade cleared.

Just hit 75K (the hard way) SEA-LAX on Friday, which was great. Credited overnight, and it was nice to see those extra 50K miles chilling out in my stack this morning. After *not* having this for one year (I'd qualified with 130K that first year) I must say that I may not go back.

Finally made MVP Gold after FIJI trip. 2015 should be fun! I was MVP last year and looking forward to that 100% bonus match for all flights.
