Twice in one day...
Quick trip from Toronto to New York for the day, MVP on Alaska but flying on Delta (hope that's also alright to share in this thread)...
09/25/2015 YYZ-JFK DL 4100 MVP cleared just prior to boarding (2/2 on list)
09/25/2015 JFK-YYZ DL 4072 MVP cleared just prior to boarding (1/1 on list)
The same experience almost two weeks ago, upgraded on each segment (although I didn't pay as close attention to where I was at on the waitlist)...
09/15/2015 YYZ-ATL-BWI DL 2551 / DL 2125 cleared for both hours before
09/16/2015 BWI-ATL-YYZ DL 1897 / DL 3840 cleared for both hours before flight
Markedly different from my experiences as a "native" Delta elite, having had elite status with Northwest and then Delta and almost never being upgraded for years post-merger. Perhaps the MQD change has indeed had an impact, although with several first class seats empty on each of my recent Delta segments, I'm not entirely sure if that is good or bad for the airline?

As a result of that we opted to take our chances on the T-72 window. LIH is not typically a business destination. In years past this had been quite successful. As the traffic out of CA has grown though it appears that more HI bound fliers are opting to buy their FC travel or use miles/GGUGs when a U space slot appears.
This is also, I think, the result of having tickets in G, T or R class fares instead of the higher ranked fare classes. Since we don't travel on an expense account and are retired, we can plan ahead. MVPG works really well as a Business traveler for UGs when buying higher valued fares but the leisure person gets booted to the middle of the WL on most flights. We actually had better UG success rates as MVPs during the middle of the Recession/ Depression/great unraveling than we have had as MVPGs in recent years.
Edited: upon checking in we are #1 & 2 on both WLs. Here's hoping that someone stays home!
Post-flights data: spouse was UG for the first segment. We stayed @ #1 #2 for both segments up to the closing of the doors. 18 on the WL out of SEA & just three ou of SAN

We bought these in June and re-priced them later in the month. At the time of purchase only one of the three segments had U space and the eligible fare cost differential was substantial.

SEA-RDU, AS754, 10/3, 1 PNR w/2 people upgraded at T-120 (both MVPG75K)
RDU-SEA, AS753, 10/3, 1 PNR w/2 people upgraded at T-120 (both MVPG75K)
After upgrades, still lots of empty F seats, so there will be some happy MVPGs in a couple of days...

10/2/15: RDU>SEA, upgrade cleared T-72.
Glad that they're starting this route today, I was really tired of having to run to either ORD or ATL and then take a 30 year old Douglas Death Tube to RDU on some other airline.

9/25/15 SEA-DEN AS 674 MVPG w/MVP spouse. Didn't clear 7&8/18 on waitlist Gate agent said they had over ten Gold's on flight.
9/2815 DEN-SEA AS 683 MVPG Didn't clear 11&12/23 Had 6 open seats at T-96.
I guess Gold is not what it used to be.
UG 8/18 in 2015 Without instant upgrade purchase
