Cool, nice to know. I did notice the scale models of the Disney planes were employees-only. Make me want them even more!

FYI, on I-5 Southbound before the Military Rd exit just east of Sea-Tac, the Adopt-a-Highway sign shows the new Alaska wordmark, dark blue on white.

New snack packaging.

Yesterday on ANC-SEA was served snacks in this new packaging. FA said it is part of the rebranding effort which has been slowed up due to the Delta assault. Frankly it looks kind of like a generic store brand to me.

The "I Am Alaska" t-shirts are not in the company store website. Anyone going shopping at the Seatac store anytime soon?

According to a thread on A.net, an updated AS livery will roll out today...

"Chester is now navy blue instead of dark blue. The teal accent around him is gone. The dark blue cheat line is now navy blue and the teal cheat line is now green. The Alaska word mark is now the updated one. And the winglets are incorporating the color change but also involve a "swoop" design instead of straight lines."

Today is...
  1. Saturday.
  2. Valentine's Day.
  3. A weekend before a national holiday.
A "rollout" today seems very unlikely. Marketing 101 says to introduce a product on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

"Refreshed" livery aircraft is 737-800 N549AS. It ferried GEG to SEA this afternoon.

Um, unless you're an AS employee, you can't log into that site...

Finally a few images up on that airliners.net link. Not bad, but Sounders/Seahawks-esque

At least it's not highlighter green.

Minor changes, IMO. The font is slightly different, and the K no longer looks like it's kicking the A's tush.

Here's a re-post of the photo from the thread on the Airliners.net site:

And here's one of the plane from Instagram, courtesy of "wrenchairplane," but it shows only the lettering and not the tail.

Alaska Air new livery.

You're welcome.

Saw this aircraft this morning parked at N2 (I think) as we taxied in. The green on the lower part of the split-scimitar fades as well to a darker green (reminding me of the ocean water in the NW sometimes). Looks sharp and like the subtle refresh.

I like the design on the scimitars, but it looks out of place on the whole. They could have "modernized" the cheat line to have a more sculpted look.

Seems like a lot of trouble to repaint a plane to look almost exactly the same.
