40K Alaska B of A card - how often?

So I've decided to concentrate my mileage earning on Alaska Air, seeing as they are quite the lucrative dark horse that is untapped by many.

I've heard of B of A offering the 40k miles Alaska Air card, is this every few months or comes around every few years?

I got in on the $100 statement credit/25k miles, doing the biz card version next. Now want the 40k!!

don't hold ur breath on it. BoA is known for not playing this game.

in my recent flight, however, the FA is promoting the card, and you can get 1k bonus miles in addition to the standard 25k.. best offer I've seen

But the Alaska cards are definitely churnable right? Only problem is the annual fee kills you, especially when it's you and spouse, that's $150 in fee's right off the bat, same goes for Hawaiian card. I kind of see the fee as a down payment on a future free flight. I've used Hawaiian for many trips, so it's worth the $80 fee to save $500 later...

If you and your spouse both have individual card it is $150- but if one spouse has card, with that person's mileage number- it is only 75.00, with the other spouse being a signer. We find we prefer to each have our individual cards, with the other spouse being a signer- that way we have 2 companion coupons. And we make decisions on what bills and etc. we use so both of us accumulate miles with purchase- i.e. I use mine for groceries, small household purchases and my personal purchases and he uses his for auto payments, large household purchases, and his individual purchases.

As long as you pay off your card every month- this works- if you carry a balance- it can be a killer-

We both got the cards recently with the $100 statement credit after $1k in 3 months, so we got the fee for the first year and even a $50 left to spend. I'm just thinking in the future how to churn this without hefty annual fees.

I received a personalized 40K offer back in August 2012. It was for 25K miles after first purchase and a bonus 15K miles after spending $1500 within 3 months. I received this offer after numerous 25K offers spanning a number of months. I have not seen a public offer for 40K.

I think the bloggers picked up on this one as well as that's how I found out about the offer so there is a possibility it gets opened to the public.

I haven't seen 40K offer in a while, but just received an email with 30K offer: 25,000 miles for sign up + 5,000 miles for being BoA customer.

If anyone is interested, feel free to send me PM
